Willys Carburetor & Dyno opened its doors in 1985 as an automotive diagnostic shop for consumer owned street cars and trucks as well as area automotive dealerships. In 1988, Willy purchased and installed his first engine dyno and later that year, his first chassis dyno. It was then that it was found that these tools were very beneficial to the motorsports industry. The very first race car to roll across the chassis dyno, a dirt street stock, went on to win several consecutive features right off the dyno. This brought more attention to the shop in Mount Carmel, IL and saw an increase of "race traffic" on the dyno.Turning his attention strictly to the motorsports industry, Willy began building carburetors using Holley main bodies and parts straight off their assembly line. In 1994, Willys first US Patent was obtained for our billet aluminum metering blocks. These blocks feature an externally adjustable valve on each side to allow the racer an easy jet adjustment.
